To create a basic cashflow we simply take your bank balance and then add in all your Sales due and less all the Direct Debits and Standing Orders along with all the purchase invoices that are due.

It is important to keep your cashflow up to date as businesses and markets are constantly changing and evolving, we advise updating it on a monthly basis, each month just take the closing balance of the last month and you use this as your opening balance of the next. With cashflow you will only have a couple of months of definitive figures, the rest is guesswork and this is where knowledge of your business, suppliers and customers is absolutely critical.
