How does your contract read? If you have 28 days inclusive of bank holidays then the double bank holiday (extra day) will have no effect and this just comes off the holiday entitlement for the year. If you have an open ended contract i.e 20 days plus bank holidays then the company must honour the extra day. If you have 20 days plus 8 bank holidays then the extra day is at the cost to the company.
